On high-speed automated production lines, traditional cutting methods often suffer from drawbacks when processing soft, sticky, fragile, or filled baked, fried, and cold-processed foods, including product deformation, trailing cuts, material sticking to the blade, and frequent downtime for cleaning. This equipment utilizes high-frequency ultrasonic longitudinal cutting technology, driving a thin-bladed blade through tens of thousands of micro-vibrations per second. It achieves cutting using an “impact-based” rather than “extrusion” principle—the contact time between the blade and the material is extremely short, significantly reducing frictional heat and perfectly preserving the product’s shape and internal structure. It is particularly suitable for sandwich cookies, soft-filled cake bars, aerated desserts, and jams with chunks.

This machine can stand alone as a complete cutting unit, equipped with adjustable-speed feed and discharge conveyors, facilitating integration into new production lines or replacing older punching stations. It can also be directly installed at the end of existing conveyor chains or freezing tunnels without significant modifications to the existing layout. During production, operators can adjust three core parameters in real time via a local touchscreen: cutting speed (determining output per unit time), single-cut length (meeting different packaging specifications), and ultrasonic amplitude (matching optimal cutting energy to the material’s hardness). All parameters support formula storage and can be recalled with a single click during production changes, significantly reducing debugging costs.

The equipment offers two operating modes: continuous mode with a maximum cycle time of 175 cuts/minute, suitable for stable production of large batches of a single specification; and cyclic mode with an adjustable speed of 50 cuts/minute, supporting intermittent start-up and fixed-length pause, facilitating the handling of irregularly shaped products or special products requiring alignment of decorative layers. Thanks to the self-cleaning effect of ultrasonic vibration, the blade surface is virtually residue-free, requiring no manual scraping even after several hours of continuous operation, significantly extending blade life and reducing defect rates. The overall cutting profile can be adapted by changing the blade holder or adjusting the blade angle, flexibly responding to changes in product shape, thickness, and cut patterns, ensuring a seamless transition from pilot-scale R&D to large-scale mass production.
