What is an ultrasonic cut?

Ultrasound is sound waves with a frequency greater than 16 kHz and inaudible to the human ear. Deployed in many industries, this technology can be considered as a new and unique form of energy with multiple properties whose use differs depending on the application. In the context of a cutting application, the emission of ultrasonic waves is effected by the piezoelectric effect. To function, this technology requires the union of 4 indissociable elements:

– The piezoelectric converter will transform the electrical energy into mechanical vibrations.

– The booster will amplify the vibrations or will reduce the amplitudes.
